Hood Named NFC Defensive Player of the Week

That’s two weeks in a row that a member of the Arizona Cardinals received ‘Player of the Week’ honors. CB Rod Hood was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week after his performance last week against the St Louis Rams. Hood had 2 solo tackles, 5 pass deflections and 2 INTs with one returned for a 68 yd touchdown. Hood will face an even greater test this week as WR Steve Smith comes to town, but Hood is ready. He showed great heart and stepped up his game last week after struggling in the first half.

But that’s two awards, defense and special teams. Which only leaves the offensive player of the week award out there. Why do I have the feeling that Kurt Warner’s name might be put up there next week? Just a thought……Congrats Rod on a great game. GO CARDS!!
