You’ll Never Know Your Strength Until You’ve Been Tested
Listen to me, LISTEN TO ME!!! As sick as you may feel at this very moment, as much as your heart feels like it is being ripped out of its chest, as much as you want to vomit and curl up into the fetal position, all the while cursing the Arizona Cardinals for making you believe……..DON’T DO IT!
YOU HAVE TO KEEP THE FAITH!!
You have no idea how hard it is for me to write this article right now, you have no idea!! I just spent the last 5 hours of my life watching this game in my own home with the most obnoxious San Francisco 49ers fan you will ever meet, so you have no idea how hard it is for me to tell you to still believe in this team. But you have to!
We are still in the NFC wild card race, we are still in the playoff hunt, we are 5-6. No matter what you may be feeling right now, you have to temper your anger as best as you can. This is what it means to be a fan. You share in the triumph and the heartbreak, you won’t win them all. A fan, a true fan, sticks by their guys at all times.
A true fan is:
- Loyal.
Not just when you’re on top, not just when things are going your way, at all times!
- Patient.
You have to know that you can’t win them all, you have to know that the ball won’t always bounce your way. You have to know that if you are going to get to the top, it will take a long time to get there.
- Supportive.
After your team loses is when they need you the most, you can’t just be there for them when they are up. You have to be able to pick them up, they need you as much as you need them. And now, they are in that locker room, crying their eyes out and just wanting every second of that game back. You have to come out next week for that Cleveland home game and lift this team up above today’s pain, they need this community behind them.
You’ll never know your strength, your heart, or your character until its been tested. Well guess what, two losses to the Niners have tested that heart. So what do you do now? I’ll tell you what, you lick your wounds, you get up off the floor, and you show up on Sunday as loud as you can be and be that 12th man for YOUR CARDS!
THAT’S WHAT YOU DO!! GO CARDS!!
