Loading ...A Sad Day For Us All - Skins Safety Sean Taylor Gone
After some encouraging news yesterday in the progress of the young standount DB for the Washington Redskins, the AP has just reported that Sean Taylor has passed away. He was 24 years old. Taylor’s former lawyer and personal friend made a public statement after hearing the news from Taylor’s father, informing him that Sean had lost the fight.
This senseless tragedies has robbed the game of one of its greatest young talents. Along with our own Adrian Wilson, I would rate Mr. Taylor as in the top two in the entire NFL at the safety position. Known for his ferocious hits and all out style of play, Taylor was the perfect fit for a Redskins defense that prides itself on toughness and power.
Football fans, and indeed anyone with a hearbeat, should pause today to remember this young man, lost too early for no good reason at all when there are so many battles to fight. Click here to read the initial AP report.
