Still Got Some Pride

Posted by: Zach

Well, they made it look difficult against a really bad team, but a win is a win. And right now, with a chance to go 8-8 and take some momentum into the off season, the Arizona Cardinals have to be happy with their 4th quarter rally and eventual overtime victory over the floundering Atlanta Falcons.

It seems like there is a winning formula in the type of game they played on Sunday:

1. No turnovers.
Not one fumble or interception. Cards QB Kurt Warner was on fire, throwing for 361 yards and 3 TDs. The key was he didn’t try to force any throws, he took what the defense gave him and made it count when he had to.

2. A Healthy Boldin and Fitzgerald.
We know they weren’t 100%, but Anquan was freakin’ electric, making spectacular grabs all day long and showing everyone in the league why he should be in the discussion of the league’s best wideouts every season.

3. Limit the Penalties.
Arizona only had 4 penalties on the day. No stupid mistakes and no letdowns on that final 4th quarter drive. This is a trend that needs to continue.

4. Neil Rackers coming through when he has to.
You’re an NFL kicker, your job is to make the clutch field goals when you have to. Especially the ones under 40 yards! And that’s what Rackers did, he hit the kick to send it into overtime and the game winner. If only against the Niners……….nevermind, I won’t even go there.

Keep doing these things and you’ll win alot of games. One more left. GO CARDS!!!
