Another Round of Free Agency Signings

The Cardinals signed several more players this week, including the addition of OLB ex- Pittsburgh Steeler Clark Haggans.  I guess it was his turn in the wheel of ex-Steelers to make their way west to play for head coah Ken Whisenhunt.   Not the most exciting signing in the world, but the Cardinals don’t have much available out there either.

They also signed WR’s Ahmad Merritt and Jereheme Urban, DE’s Joe Tafoya and Bo Schobel.  OL Elton Brown signed his one year tender offer and WR Sean Morey also signed.

Merritt showed promise early in the pre-season last year until getting hurt.   I liked the contribution of Morey and glad to see they re-signed him.  I’m still a little iffy on Urban.  He needs to show he can catch the ball with a little more consistency.

Hopefully some of these moves will pay off.  That seems to be an on-going word I’ve chosen to use in this off season, hopefully.  The Cardinals no doubt always gives their fans that – hope.
