Busy Day At Practice

The Cardinals practiced at Catholic University on Wednesday, a day that was reminiscent of the cooler days in Flagstaff. Coach Whisenhunt told Darren Urban from azcardinals.com that he thought the day of practice went well.  Receiver Anquan Boldin proclaimed he wasn’t tired after the practice.

I saw a picture on azcardinals.com that showed the Cardinals practicing on a field surrounded by red.  There was good reason for that, as the mascot for Catholic University also happens to be the Cardinals.  Very interesting.

I thought it was interesting that the Cardinals were given a police escort to the practice field.  If they lose to the Jets on Sunday, they might need a police escort back to Tempe when they return to the valley Sunday night.  Expectations are high and the Cardinals sound like they are working on a couple of things that have troubled them over the first couple of weeks, namely special teams penalties.  The penalities committed by special teams have hurt the Cardinals in field position.  Those quite frankly are the type of mistakes that, in my eyes, are ones that bring of memories of the past.  Field position is important, especially when you are on the road.  The Cardinals need to step up now!

Go Cards!
