On the Injury Front

One thing I’ve been preaching about in order to keep the Cardinals in contention in the NFC West is to not become like their divisional opponents, especially Seattle, and start spreading the injury bug around.

A couple of players, defensive end Darnell Dockett and defensive end/linebacker Bertrand Berry, both sat out of practice on today, nursing injuries.  Dockett suffered a mild groin ailment, whatever that means.  Coach Whisenhunt indicated that he was expected to be available to play on Sunday.  Bertrand Berry’s status is still uncertain.  He suffered an injury early in the game against Washington and missed the rest of the game.  He suffered a groin strain.  That just makes me cringe.  I’m done for awhile if I strain my groin, no doubt.

Outside Linebacker Chris Harrington was signed to the practice squad today to help with depth at the position.  Hopefully Dockett and Berry will be able to give it a go on Sunday.

Go Cards!
