Thursday Thoughts

Three days and counting to the CardinalsBills game.  This week is the great unknown, but it should be fun to watch.  That’s kind of like tonight’s vice-presidential debate.  You aren’t quite sure what to expect, however it should be a lot of fun to watch, especially for all the joke material I am sure to pick up.

The Cardinals are facing a Buffalo team that is 4-0.  However, if you’d told me four weeks ago the Bills would be 4-0 at this point, I would have had you committed to the same looney bin that Al Davis is running in Oakland. Buffalo does have a pretty good nucleus though.  Even though he is out for 4-8 weeks,  I like what I see in receiver/kick returned Roscoe Parrish.  That guy is the bomb.  That is the type of player I’d like to see in Steve Breaston.  I think Breaston is almost right there though toe-to-toe with him.

The Cardinals I did have going 2-2 though through the first 4 games.  However I thought they’d probably drop the opener in San Francisco and truly thought they could win one of the two road games.  After winning the first two games, I still thought the Cardinals would win one of two.  Of course, we all know how that turned out.

As I sit here and listen to Sarah Palin refer to the topic of taxes as “the tax thing”, I think the Cardinals need to get back the “winning thing”.  They need help from the fans this weekend.  Stand up, be loud, and do it often.  We need to protect home field.  Two weekends in a row at home.   If you’re going, tailgate.  Although be careful, I hear there is a good chance of rain on Sunday.  Predictions of rain in Phoenix though are  weaker than The Landry Hat’s argument that the refs called a good field goal last weekend against Washington incorrectly.  So, I wouldn’t sweat it too much.  You might not sweat at all.  Temperatures might be in the 80’s.  Now that’s paradise.

More to come later….

Go Cards!
