In the case of Folk, he actually missed the kick because he slowed his motion after he saw that a timeout was called. Feely had no idea a timeout was called until after he kicked the ball. Folk would have missed it no matter what because he held back on his approach. That said, I think icing a kicker is okay if they are set up. But to do it at the last minute and give a guy a free practice kick, I agree that it's just plain dumb. Granted I do think that icing a kicker at the last minute is a dumb idea.
