On To Carolina After Philly Defeats Minnesota

The Philadelphia Eagles did their part in giving the Cardinals a shot to still host another playoff game by defeating the Minnesota Vikings 26-14 on Sunday in Minneapolis.  What the win meant most importantly right now is that it means the Cardinals are off to play the Carolina Panthers next Saturday night in Charlotte.  The Cardinals lost a game they should have won in Charlotte back in October 27-23.

The Panthers are 8-0 at home this season.  This game will be much tougher than the last one in October.  The Panthers running game will be tougher to stop and the passing game is going to need to be complemented by a balanced attack with a steady dose of Edgerrin James.  Without it, it will be a one-sided event.  I will have much more to say about this game this week.  No predictions yet until we know who is and isn’t playing.  It sounds like Anquan Boldin could be a holdout from the game thanks to his hamstring injury suffered in the loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Whatever the case, it is going to be the toughest game the Cardinals have played this decade.  I can’t wait to get to Saturday.

Go Cards!

well azscott, you remember at the beginning of the year i gave you trash on how bad the cardinals are hated in the state of az. and how my uncle who is a resident of az. says they “suck” bad? well, as a good fan of a very surprising team, (to me) i’ve dropped by to say good luck and congrats on a great season. i hope philly beats the giants cause i hate them both, but man i hate on eli. well it would be nice if you guys did get a home game for the championship. i’m actually pulling for you guys to win it all. because i live in N.IOWA. ring any bells? i’m a big warner fan. (had him on my championship fantasy team) and my brother who lives here in n.iowa with me is a huge ram fan. we always have had a love for warner and are pullin for our home state boy. so good luck and i gotta take my hat off to ya for first beating my cowboys and now going farther than i ever thought possible. this could be your year? see ya scott

Well, I’m much happier about facing Carolina than NY.  However, both are very tough and both have devestating running games the Cards will have a tough time stopping.  I hope you didn’t put too much on the Cards, but if it works out, I’m sure you’ll be rich.  I’m taking one game at a time.  The Cards will have to eliminate even the few mistakes they made against the Falcons if they want even a fighting chance at beating the Panthers

yeah, i think the panthers are the “team” to beat for the nfc? just can’t stand eli and the g-strings. you guys can do it. i think if boldin is healthy? that passing game is tough to beat in “good weather”…..so hold your fingers crossed for an arizona championship game?

Trust me, I’d love nothing better than to face the Eagles at home next week.  First thing is first, gotta get by Carolina, which is so much easier said than done and Carolina is rested.  I think Carolina will need a major let down and they can still probably get away with a few mistakes and win the game.  I hope Boldin can play.  Not looking good right now.

I just read a report on fox sports that Boldin is going to play!  Amazing between him and Fitzgerald we can beat Carolina!!.  Oh check out this video that some cardinal fans did.  Kind of cool that they put it together her I guess.
