Cards in the News
You would think now that the season is over, there would be nothing to talk about. Think again. Like I’ve said before, there is no off-season anymore, so the wheels keep running in the NFL. That being said, the Cardinals continue to make headlines the week after the Super Bowl. As reported last night, Cardinals Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley has accepted the head coaching job with the Kansas City Chiefs. Today the Chiefs made it official and he was introduced as their next head coach. Good for him. He deserves it. he bigger issue now is that the Cardinals must go [...]
Report: Haley Offered Chiefs Head Coaching Job
According to FoxSports.com, Arizona Cardinals Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley has been offered the head coaching job with the Kansas City Chiefs. That comes as no surprise as it was first rumored two weeks ago that Haley was one of the top choices. Now all that is left is the contract negotiation and it will be a done deal. That’s the price that you pay to be good, you will always lose some good coaches along the way. I look forward to the official announcement. Until then, let me be one of the first to say that he will be missed. [...]

Cardinals Need Warner to Stay
I don’t often beg or plead for a particular player to stay with his team, as I realize the nature of the business that is the NFL. However, I am making an exception in this case. Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner needs to be just that in 2009 – The Arizona Cardinals starting quarterback. Forget the money. Forget the fame. Forget his age. All those things should be the last consideration. The first consideration should be obviously himself and his family, followed very closely by his team. His family seems to be well entrenched in the valley, so I can’t [...]
2009 Arizona Cardinals Opponents
This came out back after the season ended at the end of December, however I never touched on it and I figured the best way to move on is to take a look at next year’s schedule for the Arizona Cardinals. Although dates and times of the games won’t be announced until the schedule is released in April, here are who the Cardinals will face in 2009. Home: Seattle, St. Louis, San Francisco, Green Bay, Minnesota, Carolina, Houston, Indianapolis Away: Seattle, St. Louis, San Francisco, Chicago, Detroit, NY Giants, Jacksonville, Tennessee As you can see, the schedule is a little [...]
Favorite Super Bowl Commercials
Here is my list of favorite 2009 Super Bowl Commercials for Super Bowl XLIII. I have three: There is also a new E-Trade commercial that played in the pre-game that arguably was better. One of the first quarter commercials. I was a little disappointed in the Bud Light fare this year, but this was the best of the lot. <embed src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/NPhabSD02X4&hl=en&fs=1″ type=”appl I did really like this one from Doritos. Probably the one that made me laugh the hardest. Hopefully overall the commercials are better in 2010. Scott Allen
Cardinals Rally
The Arizona Cardinals have arrived back in Phoenix. A rally at the airport has brought out an estimated 3,000-7,000 people. I’ve got to say, I’m kind of glad I didn’t go out to all that mess. A little disappointing that more people didn’t speak from the team. Only Team President Michael Bidwill, coach Ken Whisenhunt, and quarterback Kurt Warner made comments. Receiver Larry Fitzgerald said two words as if it was an afterthought and walked to the bus. Look, I realize the team just traveled across country and they lost in deflating fashion, but they owe it to all the [...]
Life Will Be Sweet Contest Winners
The Cardinals may not have been winners last night, however there are two winners of the Life Will Be Sweet Contest, with each winner receiving five bags of Arizona Cardinals M&M’s. Tim Redinger wins the score contest. He correctly picked Pittsburgh to win. He had a score of 27-21 (48 points). Had not there been a safety, he would have hit the score head on! Lorna Krammer was the winner of the random drawing from the group of remaining entrants. Thank you to everyone who participated! Scott Allen
A Super Bowl Hangover
I just wasn’t sure what I was going to say this morning. I certainly couldn’t put it into words last night. The game last night tugged on emotions, had me from up and cheering to down with my hand on my chin. Of course how the game ended in Pittsburgh’s victory over the Cardinals 27-23, in what a lot of people are calling one of the greatest Super Bowls ever. That all depends on your point of view. I’m not just talking about the fact that we lost, which of course can sour anyone’s viewpoint in a real hurry; however [...]
