Well, yesterday’s game sure did disappoint me. I guess maybe there was a bit of a letdown after last week… but that was a romping. We made it look/appear closer than it was down the stretch (sort of) but that was painful.

Why is it that we have lost our deep threat ability with the best jump ball catcher in the league on the squad?

Why is it that my favorite player of the last 10 years has suddenly forgot that in order to throw a decent jump ball (or down field) there needs to be a little air under it.

When did the most potent offensive attack in the league become relegated to a dink/dunk mentality?

If you have Marshall Faulk as your receiving RB, ok… i get that… but Tim Hightower is no Marshall Faulk. Maybe if Beanie was your receiver and had some time to develop… but wow.

Painful to see.

During the week – work to shore up the back side contain on runs… wow did we continue to leave that open.
Work on wrapping up (in the pile).
Work on DRC not trying to get a pick on every play… that’s burned us no less than 4 times this year FOR TOUCHDOWNS of over 40 yards not just completions. ENOUGH already. We know you are athletic. We love that. Now show us you are intelligent and not just instinctive… which btw is what they are preying on. Your instincts. Using them vs. you. (and us)

We don’t need to win out to be succesful… but we do need to play better than this to beat Chicago this coming week, in Chicago. It will be cold. (not February cold, but 40’s at best)

Thank God for Seattle, St. Louis and unfortunately a potentially resurgent Tennessee.

Let’s lock up the division and put this together by the playoffs. Please. With this schedule coming up, now is the time to make it happen.

I agree about Collinsworth. It was pretty obvious he was rooting for the Giants.

Wells, in my opinion, is potentially great. He has an explosiveness that is special and he doesn’t need much of an opening. I say keep giving him the ball and he will break some big ones and keep the defense from playing the pass exclusively. It’s also encouraging that he’s fielding some short passes.

I’m worried about Carolina. They shouldn’t be taken lightly. Last week they rolled up over 400 yards of offense and only lost due to turnovers. They also have a good pass defense. The Cardinals really need this one before going on the road again.

I never said 8-3 wasn’t good enough. However after winning IN New York, on national television, in the fashion they did, they must now go out and prove they can maintain the same focus against inferior opponents. Sure, it would be awesome if they went 4-1. I think though it would be a little, maybe just a little, disappointing if they don’t go 5-0 in November given the results of last night. Continue to show legitimacy. Losing against any of the next 5 opponents, who all have worse records, would be unacceptable. Carolina is about to bench Jake Delhomme. Chicago just got pasted by Cincy 45-10 and is 3-3. Seattle just doesn’t have the personnel to keep up. St. Louis, well forget it if they lose to a team that currently has lost 17 in a row. Tennessee might serve as the loss as I know they are hungry for a win. However, if you want to be considered a playoff team, a legitimate playoff contender, then you don’t lose to a team that lost 59-0 and is currently 0-6. Lose any of these five games and I guarantee people won’t be talking about the win in New York much anymore, rather what do the Cards need to do to avoid a December let down like they had last season.

C’mon guy? Sweep or that game is meaningless?
So, going 4-1 and being 8-3 after eleven games is not good enough? Or event going 3-2 and being 7-4 after 11?

I think you might need to lay off the exaggerations a bit, but I’m happy, nonetheless, to see my boys finally playing some good football for the first time since I was 5-10 years old. (I’m 34 now)

Go birds… and I hope that they do sweep. I’d love to be a 9-2 team after 11. That sounds great.
