Pro Bowl Rosters Announced

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Cardinals, Fanzone, News, NFL | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

The Arizona Cardinals got only four players into the 2010 Pro Bowl in Miami.  We already knew about Larry Fitzgerald and Darnell Dockett.  Joining them are Adrian Wilson and Dominque Rodgers- Cromartie. You can’t argue against any of the four players.  I am quite disappointed that Andy Lee got the punter selection over Ben Graham.  What else could Graham do?  I guess it’s all about the numbers.  What players, coaches, and fans missed I guess was his uncanny ability to consistently punt the ball deep, inside the 10 yardline.  I have to say in all the years of Cards getting [...]

Fitzgerald and Dockett Confirm Pro Bowl Selections

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Cardinals, Fanzone | COMMENTS: None Yet

Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald and defensive end Darnell Dockett confirmed via their Twitter pages that they have been selected to the 2010 Pro Bowl in Miami. Strong safety Adrian Wilson is also deserving as is punter Ben Graham.  I also believe receiver Anquan Boldin and specialist LaRod Stephens-Howling deserve some love as well.  I wouldn’t look for either to make it though.  Kurt Warner might get in as a third quarterback, however that is going to be a tight race in the vote.  The results start in about five minutes on the NFL Network. Cards Win 10th, Defeat Rams 31-10

AUTHOR: | IN: Cardinals, Fanzone, Gameday | COMMENTS: None Yet

Once again, the Arizona Cardinals didn’t start well in the third quarter, fumbling on the first possession.  However, this week, they didn’t let the 17-0 halftime lead slip away.  The St. Louis Rams scored their only third quarter touchdown of the season to bring them within 10, however that was as close as it would get as the Cards offense balanced a strong passing attack with a decent rushing attack en route to a 31-10 victory. I still don’t get the feeling that the Cards are running on all cylinders, at least not all of them at the same time.  [...]

Cards Lead 17-0 at Halftime

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Cardinals, Fanzone, Gameday | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Arizona Cardinals could easily be up 21-0, but will take a 17-0 lead over the St. Louis Rams going into halftime.  Cards had a first and goal inside the 5 yard line, however failed to punch it in the end zone. The Cards looked much better in the second quarter.  They need to continue the same focus they had, in the third quarter.  No letting up now.  New Orleans had a 17-0 lead on Tampa Bay earlier today and lost 20-17 in OT.  So, this movie has been shown already once today. Go Cards! Scott Allen

Warner Throws 100th Cardinal TD, Doucet gets 1st

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Cardinals, Fanzone, Gameday | COMMENTS: None Yet

Cards quarterback Kurt Warner has just thrown his 100th touchdown pass as an Arizona Cardinal.  He threw it to Early Doucet, who caught his first as an Arizona Cardinal and first of his brief NFL career. Warner’s 100th touchdown pass was the second team he has accomplished that feat with.  He did the same with the Rams. Congrats Kurt!  Congrats also to Early Doucet, who has worked hard to get to this point.  A nice looking drive results in milestone points.  Keep it up! Scott Allen

Cards Finally take 7-0 Lead in Second Quarter

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Cardinals, Fanzone, Gameday | COMMENTS: None Yet

Touchdown Cards! Kurt Warner found receiver Steve Breaston for 45 yards and then two plays later found receiver Larry Fitzgerald for a 10-yard touchdown pass.  It wasn’t a time consuming drive, but it got points on the board and right now that’s what’s important.  They can worry about ball control and taking time off the clock in the second half. Let’s hope we see some more of that.  The early games today showed the underdogs won’t go down without a fight and the Rams showed that in the first quarter. Scott Allen

Cards Out of Snych in First Quarter, 0-0

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Cardinals, Fanzone, Gameday | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Cardinals and Rams are headed to the second quarter tied 0-0.  The Rams had the ball for over 10 minutes in the first quarter.  Much of that is because the Cards offense looks out of sorts again.  Why?  Well, Tim Hightower dropped an open pass.  Beanie Wells hasn’t gotten any carries. Let’s go guys!  We need some points! Scott Allen

Update: Rams Stephen Jackson Inactive

AUTHOR: | IN: Breaking News, Cardinals, Fanzone, Gameday | COMMENTS: None Yet

The one real threat on offense for the Rams is now out of today’s game.  Rams running back Stephen Jackson has been ruled inactive for this afternoon’s game in Glendale. This still doesn’t mean the Cards should relax.  They’ve been known to make unknown running backs famous.  Just one more reason to play hard and keep focus.  No time for any let downs.  Playoff seeding still undecided. Go Cards! Scott Allen

Cards Look for 10th Win of Season

AUTHOR: | IN: Cardinals, Fanzone, Gameday | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Arizona Cardinals host the St. Louis Rams on Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium in what should become the Cardinals 10th win of the season, a first since moving to Arizona. The question is, who will play and for how long for the Cardinals.  If you believe coach Ken Whisenhunt, the regulars will play as long as they are healthy. Good. The Cardinals still have many experts and fans alike wondering who they really are.  It’s time to shore up the running game and get mentally strong for the playoffs.  As of today, the Cards would be facing the [...]

Top Ten Cardinals Games of the Decade

AUTHOR: | IN: Cardinals, Fanzone, Off-Topic | COMMENTS: None Yet

As we close out 2009 and the first decade of the 21st Century, I thought it would be a great time to list the top 10 Arizona Cardinals games of this decade.  Many of you will probably agree on the top ones, however I’m sure there will be some debate on most of the list. 10. Arizona 9  Dallas 6 – October 20, 2002 It wasn’t a pretty game.  In fact this one was rather sloppy.  However a field goal in OT put the Cardinals in first place in the NFC West at 4-2 and headed towards better things this [...]
