The Next Month May Say A Lot About Cards Future
Now that the Arizona Cardinals are more than a month into the off-season, many questions about what the Cards will do with their current players and free agency abound. Word is according to Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic the Cardinals may be on the verge of releasing Antrel Rolle with hope of resigning him to a new contract. It’s a risk because he is expected to test the free agent market if that happens. Not sure what will happen with the QB position. Matt Leinart is still the guy for now. Unsure on the status of Brian St. Pierre. [...]
Kurt Warner On Prime Time TV
Kurt Warner made a guest appearance on a certain talk show, that I shall remain nameless, last night on NBC. He and actor Ashton Kutcher were guests. See the video below:
Super Bowl XLIV Commercials
From the Twitter world, it sure sounds like not many people were impressed with the Super Bowl commercials. I, however, had a few favorites that had me laughing out loud. Overall, they weren’t THAT bad. Too many Negative Nancy’s out there. My favorites: “SuperBowl Shuffle” Redeux – 85′ Bears, one of my favorites growing up. I did like this commercial, but I still think Jay is an ass. Loved this one: Betty White and Abe Vigoda Rock!
Super Bowl XLIV One to Watch
I know, our Arizona Cardinals aren’t in this year’s Super Bowl, however it should still be a great match up. Peyton Manning and the AFC Champion Indianapolis Colts will be looking for their second Super Bowl win in three seasons, facing the NFC Champion New Orleans Saints. I’m not sure how much defense we’ll see, although Indianapolis, when healthy, is among the best defensively in the NFL. I hope the game doesn’t have us waiting for the commercials, which of course is one reason we do watch. I don’t think it will. It should fun to watch. Congratulations to both [...]
Arizona Cardinals assistant coach and former Washington Redskins player Russ Grimm and former Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals running back Emmitt Smith are among seven individuals elected to the NFL Hall of Fame today. Also elected were former San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jerry Rice, along with Dick Lebeau, Rickey Jackson, Floyd Little, and John Randle. Both Smith and Rice were elected on their first ballot. Smith, who spent the majority of his career with Dallas and finished up in Arizona, finished with 18,355 rushing yards along with 164 touchdowns. Rice, the NFL’s all-time receiving [...]
Downtime Not an Option for Some Cards
More than two weeks after the loss to the New Orleans Saints, the Arizona Cardinals are still making headlines and keeping themselves in the public eye this Super Bowl Week. Cards defensive lineman Darnell Dockett is helping out his friend Chad Ochocinco cover the Super Bowl for the “Ochocinco News Network”. Why does something tell me I should have seen that one coming? Larry Fitzgerald talked at the Super Bowl to Houston Sportsradio 610 today about the Texans and the Super Bowl and his experiences from last year’s big trip. Since his retirement five days ago, Kurt Warner has been [...]
