Offensive lineman Alan Faneca is an Arizona Cardinal.
I never thought I would hear myself say those words, but that is exactly the case after Arizona jumped on his availability when the New York Jets released him. He signed a one-year $2.5 million contract. By signing the not very long free agent, it immediately makes up for not drafting an offensive lineman this past weekend in the draft. This may end up being the best off-season pickup by the Cardinals yet.
With Matt Leinart behind center, his signing proves even more important and adds veteran leadership to a position the Cardinals failed to draft at for the first time since 2002. I love the signing and love the agressiveness of the Cardinals to grab him quick.
