Cards Receiver Ed Gant Suspended Four Games

by Breaking News

The Arizona Cardinals may have just lost one receiver for the fourth receiver on their 2010 roster.  Ed Gant, who is fighting for the fourth receiving spot for the upcoming season, has been suspended for four games for violating the NFL’s policy on anabolic steroids and related substances.

It was a long shot to being with, but now Gant, who will be allowed to play in the preseason, will have to sit out the first four games of the 2010 season.  With the emergence of Onrea Jones and rookie Andre Roberts, Gant’s chances of making the team have just grown slimmer.

This is just one less headache we have to hear about.  I would not be surprised to see the Cards eventually cut Gant.  I can’t envision him being allowed to hang around during training camp, taking up a roster spot that could be used for someone with a fighting chance to make the season opening roster.

they probably wont cut him until the 5th week of the season because he wont take up a roster spot until then. So it will be like getting a free look at him or someone else.
