Beanie Wells Misses Practice Again

Well, so much for Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells if he is on your fantasy team this week against the St. Louis Rams.

Well, for the second straight day, did not practice.  Coach Ken Whisenhunt didn’t rule him out.  He said “we’ll see” when asked about Wells’ status for Sunday.  That pretty much sounds like a “no” to me.

I wasn’t counting on much from him anyway, however I have him on one of my teams, so I held out hope.  Even if he does end up playing, it probably won’t be much as Tim Hightower will be the featured back.

Still look for great things from Wells this season.  He had a decent rookie season.  There should not be any sophomore jinx.  Thus the reason the Cards are being cautious and probably going to hold him out.  It also helps that the Cards are playing the St. Louis Rams.

My hope is that Wells will return next week against Atlanta, but if it doesn’t happen, life will go on.  I’d rather have a healthy Beanie when it’s crunch time at the end of the season than have a lingering problem all season.
