Make or Break Time for Skelton

Now that Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback John Skelton has been named starter for tomorrow’s game against the Denver Broncos, he must do everything he can to impress – now.  Unfortunately Skelton isn’t going to have a lot of time to show what he can do.  You can thank the Cards record for that.

Quarterback Announcement Coming Friday

The big announcement on Friday we’ve all been waiting for, who will be the starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday against the Denver Broncos?  I am sure most of you have been waiting for this announcement like you wait for a meteor to hit the Earth, just get it over with and kill me now.  Ok maybe not that bad.

Cardinals Play Musical Chairs With Quarterbacks

Well, it was inevitable. The Arizona Cardinals managed to use all three quarterbacks in today’s game, including emergency quarterback John Skelton.  Derek Anderson, the starter was ineffective with a passer rating of 29.8.  His replacement Max Hall, got injured after only several plays.  With Anderson being ineffective, that left Skelton to mop up in his first NFL regular season action.

Another Sunday Walk in the Park

Literally, a walk in the park. Just the way the Arizona Cardinals played on Sunday in their 19-6 loss to the St. Louis Rams. They treated Sunday’s game like they were just out taking a walk in the park, not playing an NFL football game.

Sam Bradford and St. Louis Rams Visit Arizona Cardinals

You can’t talk about the St. Louis Rams, 5-6, without starting with quarterback Sam Bradford.  Bradford, taken first in the 2010 NFL Draft, has exceeded expectations this season, even with the expectations that come along with a first overall pick.  Bradford brings his talents to Arizona today to face the 3-8 Arizona Cardinals.

Arizona Bowl Game Projections

Having three bowl games here in the Phoenix area is not only great for college football fans, it could also give the Arizona Cardinals a look a players, most notably some good quarterbacks, from six different top notch programs in the country. Go figure.  The Arizona Cardinals get blown out at home to the San Francisco 49′ers on Monday night, this week host the St. Louis Rams who are two games better than you in the standings and the game is sold out.

Anderson Does the Right Thing

First day at practice since “the meltdown” and Arizona Cardinals quarterback Derek Anderson did the right thing, he apologized for his meltdown after Monday nights debacle at University of Phoenix Stadium in the 27-6 loss to the San Francisco 49′ers.
