Cards Have Many Options on Table

As we grow closer to the NFL Draft at the end of April, each and every day presents itself with new information as to the rumors on who the Arizona Cardinals are looking to select with their top draft pick at number five. Everyone from quarterback Blaine Gabbert to linebacker Von Miller to cornerback Patrick Peterson.

I am however no expert and I would hardly qualify some “experts” as experts.  It’s all a guessing game and only the Cards know for sure (and I’m not even sure on that) as to what they plan on doing.  Personally, I’m still holding onto hope they draft a quarterback.  Crazy things happen sometimes in the draft though and don’t go nearly as expected (remember 2006 when quarterback Matt Leinart feel to number 10?)

So, who do you think the Cards will draft at number five?  Speak out.

Von Miller is supposedly a special player in this draft. The Cards D is a awful and could use a run stopper since that is about the only thing anyone in the NFC West can do. Peterson would be cool but something tells me that that obscene wonderlic score and the fact that no QB in the NFC west could hit water falling out of a boat will make him less of a priority. I say if they feel special about a QB and he is there take it but Leinart sucked ass.

I agree Sean. Yeah we know now that Leinart sucks, but it was a major surprise when he fell to 10th in the draft. I think the Cards can’t go wrong with any of the three, but your analogy on Peterson seems to be spot on.

I think you need to start preparing for going up against Sam Bradford twice a year. Peterson is exactly what we need. Pair him with DRC and I think you have one of the best CB duos in the league. Greg Toler will make a great nickle. Then all you need is a pass-rushing LB and another good ILB and I think the Cardinals would have a top 5 defense in the league. Anyone disagree?
