Cards May End Up Paying Large Price For Kolb
When, and I’ll still say “if” for now, but when Kevin Kolb finally lands in Arizona, anytime between tonight and sometime Thursday, it will turn out the Arizona Cardinals will have paid too much to get him. However, it will beat the alternative, which would be to lose out on Kolb, Kyle Orton, and Matt Hasselbeck.
Steve Breaston Could be Kansas City Bound
Arizona Cardinals receiver Steve Breaston has apparently decided not to return to the team that drafted him in 2007. In what is only what I would consider a mild surprise, Breaston is going to opt to sign with another team. That team is rumored to possibly be the Kansas City Chiefs.
Cards Rumored to Have a Four Quarterback Plan
In the end for the Arizona Cardinals it will be either Kevin Kolb, Kyle Orton, Matt Hasselbeck, or Marc Bulger. Apparently they have a plan, or four different plans, one that includes each of those names mentioned. So, in other words, we know nothing more about the Cards quarterback situation Tuesday night than we did, say, a week ago. Although we do know the Seattle Seahawks are out of the Kolb Sweepstakes. That’s because they just entered the Andrew Luck Sweepstakes today. That’s a whole other story.
Cardinals Playing Wheel of Quarterbacks
If you are a free agent quarterback or a quarterback rumored to be on the trade block, you inevitabley will be linked to the Arizona Cardinals. If I go grab a football right now and throw it downfield, be careful, I might be the next rumored Cards QB. It’s gotten that crazy.
Todd Heap Would Look Great In a Cardinals Uniform
When ESPN’s Chris Mortensen tweeted this morning that Baltimore Ravens TE Todd Heap who is rumored to be cut by the Ravens, might come to Arizona, it came as no surprise that he would link Heap to the Arizona Cardinals. I say go for it!
Cards Camp in Flagstaff Will Open Friday
The Arizona Cardinals announced that Cards Camp will open this Friday in Flagstaff. On his Twitter account, the Cards Darren Urban said their will be one practice on Saturday and one on Sunday. Further training camp info will be available later. As of right now, the rest of the schedule has not been released.
Cards Now Have Ability to Sign Undrafted Players
I don’t know who is on the Arizona Cardinals wish list for non-drafted signees for training camp in Flagstaff, however, as of Monday night, all NFL teams are able to go ahead and sign non-drafted players to their 90-man rosters. One of the more recent Cards undrafted signees is Max Hall. He went undrafted last year and as we all know, ended up a starter before proving his true value.
Cardinals List of Impact Free Agents
The story will probably end up being more of who the Arizona Cardinals pick up rather than who leaves, however, the Cards still do stand to lose a few guys who have made an impact on the team over the past few seasons. How many of these top free agents the Cards end up losing probably all relies on who is they have available to them to sign from other rosters.
It’s been a long, very long four months. However, THIS Arizona Cardinals fan is giddy, just plain giddy. The NFL Lockout is officially over. This is a day I always thought would come, probably not this soon. I really thought this thing would drag until September, October. Given the specifics of the deal, you can tell both sides worked hard to get this thing done in time for training camp. The only casualty? The Hall of Fame Game. I’m good with that.
Rumor that NFL Lockout May End on Monday
So the rumor is that NFL player reps have agreed to a new Collective Bargaining Agreement and will officially vote on the new CBA on Monday. Right now I just say I will believe it when I see it, but it sounds promising as of Sunday evening.
