Fitz Desperately Wants to Win

It was a very small thing, which some fans may not have even noticed in the Arizona Cardinals game against the Washington Redskins.  However, it was a hugely significant incident.

Late in the fourth quarter, with the team up by two points, the Cardinals had the ball — and were penalized 5 yards for a motion penalty.  Larry Fitzgerald was incensed, and began yelling at his teammates in the huddle that the team had to get their act together if they were going to win the football game.

Now that he will be a Cardinals player for life, Fitzgerald desperately wants to win a championship … and he has assumed the mantle of leadership on the team.  He’s not afraid to criticize his teammates when he feels the time is right to say some harsh words.  Hopefully, the other Cardinals players will rise to the challenge — and give their best efforts.  Unfortunately, it did not work this past Sunday.
