Tedy Bruschi Should Shut it, Leave Ochocinco Be
I’ve always been a fan of Tedy Bruschi. After all, he was a leader on the University of Arizona Wildcats football team when I was a student there. He played his heart out in both college and in New England. I respected what he did in his comeback from his health issues late in his career. However, as an ESPN analyst, sorry Tedy, you leave a little to be desired. After calling out Chad Ochocinco on his Tweet about Tom Brady’s performance the other night, maybe it’s Tedy who is the one who should just do his job instead of [...]
Cards Secondary Needs Better Day Against Grossman
Ok, Can Newton got his, although he lost. If Rex Grossman gets his on Sunday just as Newton did against the Arizona Cardinals secondary, the result will most likely be much different on Sunday against the Washington Redskins. In fact, it might be worse. Hopefully the Cards have a better game plan for this weekend. Newton, who threw for 422, a record for an NFL quarterback in his debut, shredded the defense. There were open receivers all day long. Now, guys like Steve Smith made some great catches, but then again so could you and I with it being 20 [...]
Tim Hightower vs. Beanie Wells
Next Sunday there will be an interesting sidebar to the main game: Tim Hightower will be playing against his former teammates and hoping he can make the Arizona Cardinals front office regret trading him, and Beanie Wells will want to prove the Cardinals right in trading Hightower and making him their #1 running back. Hightower seems to have found a home with the Washington Redskins, thriving under Mike Shanahan’s offense. And Wells seems to have regained the form he had two years ago, when he was a punishing runner in his rookie season. it should be very interesting to see [...]
11 Observations About the Cardinals – Week One
1) I was so excited after the Arizona Cardinals first drive. It was a very solid drive, with great play calling and precise execution. Beanie Wells looked great, the offensive line was solid, and Kevin Kolb was confident in his throws. Unfortunately, it was the only sustained drive that the Cardinals were able to make all game that translated into any points.
No quarterback had ever thrown for over 400 yards in his NFL debut. Until today. Leave it to the Arizona Cardinals secondary to do what they do best – get burned by the opposing quarterback. Carolina Panthers Cam Newton threw for 422 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another, however it was not enough to defeat Kevin Kolb and the Cards, as the Cards came away with a 28-21 victory on Sunday.

Back to Football for the Arizona Cardinals
It’s back to football tomorrow for the Arizona Cardinals as they play host to the Carolina Panthers in week one of the 2011 NFL football season, a seaosn many thought would never happen thanks to the almost five month lockout. Now it’s time for new starting quarterback Kevin Kolb to lace them up for real and lead the Cardinals on a new journey, one that we all hope ends in regaining the NFC West title.
Cardinals-Panthers Fantasy Outlook, Week 1
The Arizona Cardinals face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium, 1:15pm. It might be one of the better weeks to have a Cards player on your fantasy football team. It might also be a good week to have a Panthers player on your team. You just don’t know how the Cards defense is going to perform at this point. I have more confidence in the Cards scoring than keeping the Panthers from doing the same, even with Cam Newton at the helm. So here are the players I would be looking at using if you have [...]
Kevin Kolb Doesn’t Need a Call from Michael Vick
Word got out that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback reached out to Carolina Panthers first round pick and starting quarterback Cam Newton last week to have a discussion. The media made it a story, but as far as Kevin Kolb is concerned, who cares? So what if Vick didn’t call him? Derek Anderson didn’t call John Skelton or Richard Bartel. Hey, as much a players shrug it off, fact is there is no love loss for the most part between competitors.
NFL, Arizona Cardinals Preview 2011
Back to Football. That’s the motto. Even with as many moves that were made in the free agency frenzy, I say back to a lot more of the same in 2011. The Dallas Cowboys will not be as improved as some people think. The New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers will be the teams to beat again and might have better offenses than last season. The Pittsburgh Steelers will have a great defense. The Philadelphia Eagles should have a great defense. NBC Sunday Night Football and the NFL Redzone will continue to be the best football has to offer, [...]
