Arizona Cardinals Down 10-3 at Halftime to St. Louis Rams

It hasn’t been a pretty game so far.  However, Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells has looked good.  He has carried the ball nine times for 118 yards.  It has been nice to see.  The Cards need to get in the end zone though.  All they have to show for the offense so far is Wells and a Jay Feely field goal.  Quarterback John Skelton has looked horrible.  He has overthrown receivers all day so far.  Even Larry Fitzgerald can’t catch Skelton’s balls today. The St. Louis Rams lead the Cards 10-3 at halftime.

The Rams haven’t been much better.  The Cards have gotten after it on defense just as much as the Rams.  The Rams only score was a Nick Miller 88-yard punt return for touchdown.  Miller wasn’t touched once.  It was nice payback for the Patrick Peterson 91-yard game-winning punt return three weeks ago in Glendale.

Sam Bradford hasn’t looked all that impressive with the exception of the last drive of the half and Steven Jackson has been fairly quiet as well.  It almost seems as if both teams are just trying to go through the motions trying to get this season over with.  One guy who continues to be impressive though is Rams defensive lineman Chris Long.  He’s recorded a sack and had another taken away thanks to a defensive penalty.
