Cards Back at it with More Signings of Own Players

The Arizona Cardinals got two more of their own free agents back into the fold on Monday with the signings of long-snapper Mike Leach and linebacker Reggie Walker.  Leach has durability and Walker is an up and coming LB with a lot of potential.  Walker is a guy that is a solid backup and a darn good special teams player. It’s two more of their own, but it’s two guys I don’t mind seeing back in the fold.

I mentioned Leach’s durability.  He has played the last three seasons with the Cards and has played in 152 consecutive games.  That’s the type of toughness you want from anyone on your team, even the long-snapper.

As for Walker, he was an undrafted rookie in 2009 and made a significant impact in the preseason that year, enough that he has remained on the roster for three seasons.  A quality backup who still has time to develop early in his career.  He has played in 34 games through his first three seasons.
