Cardinals Still Have Draft Options Thanks to Quiet Free Agency Activity

Wide receiver?  Offensive line?  Defensive pass rush?  Which direction do the Arizona Cardinals go in the 2012 NFL Draft?  Right now, I still have them going after Michael Floyd, receiver from Notre Dame with the 13th pick in the draft.  Many have the Cards taking an offensive lineman.  People assume that is the biggest need for the Cards.  I don’t necessarily think that.  However with as quiet as the Cards have been in free agency, anything is possible.

Personally, I think even with the re-signing of Early Doucet, the Cards could still largely be considered as ignoring their receiver issues.  Assuming Floyd is still on the board at 13, I think the Cards seriously consider getting him.

The Cards have addressed areas considered of need in free agency, but it’s been largely through re-signing their own players.  To me, that says they either were ok with how last season went or they have bigger plans through the draft.  They re-signed Levi Brown on the line and got free agent Adam Snyder from the San Francisco 49’ers to bolster the o-line as well.  Therefore, I see wide receiver being addressed early.  Pass rush on the defensive line is also a possibility and if you have the opportunity, you take it.  Anybody’s guess is a good one right now as far as I’m concerned.
