Arizona Cardinals Place Beanie Wells and Jeff King on PUP List

It wasn’t a surprise to the Arizona Cardinals.  It may have been to some fans, however the Cards say no worries when running back Beanie Wells and Jeff King were placed on the physically unable to perform list on Tuesday when they failed their physicals.  Wells was coming off knee surgery.  Coach Ken Whisenhunt expects both to be back rather quickly as they are at the tail end of their issues.

Coach Wiz said they expect neither of them to miss much camp time at all, which is great news.  With the uncertainty of Ryan Williams and his comeback, it is extremely important the Cards have a healthy Beanie Wells once the season starts.  I’m not necessarily concerned with the preseason when it comes to game, but rather practice time and conditioning.  Wells was out on the field today doing some conditioning, however can not practice until he passes his physical.

King is expected to contribute again at tight end as well and is part of what is considered one of the more deeper tight end cores in the NFL.
