The bye week seems to have come maybe too late for some, however it is never too late for the bye.  With as riddled with injury as the Arizona Cardinals have been so far this season, it will give those just “banged up” a chance to heal as the Cards prepare for the last seven games of the season. Some guys aree sticking around, some have left town.  They are off till Monday when they start to prepare for the Atlanta Falcons.

This week the Cards lost yet another player for the season to injury in O’Brien Schofield.  It was disappointing to see him go out.  The defense, although overrated in my estimation and has declined a bit over the past few weeks, still makes this team tick and will keep the team in most games.

Quarterback John Skelton has gone home to New York this weekend.  He’s already tweeted that it’s cold there and he loves the warmth of Arizona.  He’d better start getting this teams some wins or might be spending more time in New York than he wishes.

Receiver Michael Floyd is in Chicago.  Punter Dave Zastudil went home to Cleveland.  Linebacker Sam Acho went back to Texas.  It is the only time during the season players can get away from it all.  They can go on a mini vacation, go back home.  Yet they aren’t too far away from the game, especially thanks to social media.  Many go back to their schools to see their college teams.

Whatever they do, I just hope they are safe and stay out of trouble.  The last thing the Cards need is either one of those things to happen to one of their guys.  They have three more days away from Arizona.  Here’s to hoping.
