2013 NFL Mock Draft: Cardinals Go Quarterback

The 2013 NFL Draft should be an interesting one for the Arizona Cardinals.  They could go in so many different directions with the number seven pick in the draft.  Of course with the greatest need being quarterback, that will probably get the greatest hype.  The offensive line also is a huge necessity so don’t be surprised if the Cards bypass a quarterback to get a top of the line offensive lineman.  Right now, as usual, it is all just a guessing game.

This is the dumbest pick the Cardinals can make! This is a deep draft for defense and the second best lineman will still be available. We can have 15 QB’s but they cant do anything if our line sucks. Also… How have the last 2 USC QB’s drafted in the first round faired? We had a first hand example

    • Scott Allen

Just all a guess at this point. I can pretty much tell you they won’t be going defense with the first pick. That much I’m confident about. It if isn’t a QB, it will most likely be an offensive lineman. Barkley also isn’t Sanchez or Leinart. My mind will probably change 20 times before my final mock draft in April.

So, by your logic, no one should ever draft a USC quarterback because the last few haven’t been good? I guess Ingram shoukd have been an example of why teams shouldn’t draft Alabama running backs. The cardinals need a franchise QB and Barkley is NFL ready. There are about 5-7 picks that would benefit them right now. Barkley might not be the “best” pick, but he’s a pretty solid pick moving forward.
