Arizona Cardinals veterans report to training camp tomorrow, and today is supposed to be the calm before the storm. However, that hasn’t been the case so far.

After reports about the Cardinals being in talks with defensive end John Abraham and offensive tackle Eric Winston came out, the Cardinals made an official roster move involving outside linebackers Tim Fugger and Dan Giordano. According to Revenge of the Birds, the Cardinals waived Fugger and put Giordano on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list.

The Cardinals now have three open roster spots, and they could use one of them to add a pass-rusher. Many think Abraham, who will visit the Cardinals, is that pass-rusher. Abraham is aging, but he has a good pedigree. The Cardinals could use his experience and pass-rushing skill, and they could make him an offer soon.

While this isn’t huge news, it could lead to some big news. Stay tuned as the Cardinals meet with some free agents and continue to make roster moves as camp gets underway.
