You know him well by now.  Seven-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro, numerous awards winner, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver.  Larry Fitzgerald, who is going into his 10th season in the NFL, all with the Cards, still gets the biggest cheers amongst Cards fans and rightfully so.

I attended training camp yesterday out at University of Phoenix Stadium and found that the fans still yearn to watch number 11.  They watch his every move, no matter how insignificant it may be at the time.  There were a lot of people who were wearing number 11 jersey’s or shirts, myself included.

It’s not just the player people love, it’s the person.  Fitz is such a nice guy and does so much for the community and for others.  How can you not continue to support that? Oh, and then there’s the fact he’s still one of games biggest threats on the football field.  He didn’t have the 2012 season statistically we all know he is capable of, however you can put some of the blame on the quarterback position for that one. You won’t hear Fitz say that though.  Even he’ll tell you he didn’t play up to his normal standards.

That doesn’t keep fans from giving him the biggest cheers of all the players on the field when he touches the ball.  Even in individual position drills yesterday, he would get cheers every time he touched the ball.  Clearly he is still number one in many Cards fans hearts.  Now that he has a quarterback to throw him the ball, fans know they could be in for the old Larry Fitzgerald this season.
