Today hasn’t been a huge news day for the Arizona Cardinals, but two roster moves were made. And, coach Bruce Arians talked about a roster move that could happen in a couple of weeks.

According to the Cardinals’ official Twitter account, the team signed Cordian Hagans from the Pittsburgh Steelers. As the corresponding roster move, it released cornerback Josh Hill.

Hagans isn’t likely to make the roster, but he will get a look as the Cardinals seek depth at defensive end. Quarterback Ryan Lindley is somewhat likely to make the roster, but he might end up on the outside looking in. According to azcentral.com, the Cardinals could keep just two quarterbacks.

Carson Palmer is penciled in at quarterback, and Drew Stanton is a roster lock as his backup. Lindley, however, isn’t a lock. He was intercepted seven times in four starts last year, and he failed to throw a touchdown. He posted a miserable 52.0 passer rating last year, and he hasn’t shown many signs of improvement.

Lindley will probably be kept on the roster bubble, as the Cardinals could get by with two quarterbacks. If he doesn’t start to impress, the Cardinals could look elsewhere or stick with just two signal callers.
