The Arizona Cardinals have finally announced signings to the practice squad.  They signed five players in all to the squad.  They are allowed as many as eight players.  Of course with the surprise waiver of receiver Kerry Taylor over the weekend, many of us were waiting to see if he’d be one of the practice squad players.  The answer is simple – yes.

In addition to Taylor, the Cards also signed linebacker Kenny Rowe and safety Curtis Taylor.  Curtis Taylor was also in a heated competition during camp, so his signing is not that much of a surprise.

The Cards did pick up two players who were cut from other squads.  Center/guard Phillip Blake and linebacker Dontay Moch were both signed.  Blake was with the Denver Broncos and Moch was with the Cincinnati Bengals in the preseason.

Both Taylors in my opinion have good shots at getting onto the 53-man roster should a player get hurt or not perform.  As noted the Cards did not sign a full practice squad, so it is possible to learn of more signings later on.  There has been no indication what the Cards plans are.  All I know it is nice to see the Cards not forget the job Kerry Taylor did and he will have another chance to prove he belongs on the roster.
