The Arizona Cardinals have begun the assembling of players for the practice squad and among  those players is the once released wide receiver Kerry Taylor, who in my opinion, surprisingly cleared waivers on Sunday.

Taylor was in a close battle with Jaron Brown and the team decided to go with only four receivers on the 53 man roster.

That may be because of the inserting of cornerback Patrick Peterson on the offense as a wide receiver, had they only had Peterson on offense for only trick plays or as a decoy, then I’m sure that Kerry Taylor would have made the 53 man roster to start the season. Should an injury occur, or Brown begins to struggle then perhaps Taylor would be brought up and given his chance in the NFL.

The practice squad was completed with safety Curtis Taylor, who also was with the team for this years training camp and was released and cleared waivers. Linebacker Kenny Rowe, guard/center Phillip Blake who was cut by the Denver Broncos. Also another linebacker Dontay Moch who was released by the Bengals.

Teams are allowed to add up to eight players on the practice squad, so look for the team to add a quarterback to the mix and two other players, I hear that Matt Scott of the University of Arizona was released by the Jaguars Sunday. That could be a good pick up for the cards to practice against the two dynamic running quarterbacks in the division.
