Rookie Andre Ellington is beginning to look like an every down back just like his coach said earlier in the week; the rookie is making plays in the passing game and has proven that standing up to linebackers does not intimidate him at all.

Ellington so far has recorded 2 rushes for 16 yards and 3 catches for 36 yards, and is starting to get on the field more and more as the game goes on. Not only getting on the field, but a threat to the defense so much that they are rolling over linebackers to spot him.

I love the rookie’s confidence in the offense and the trust that is building between he and quarterback Carson palmer, he has become the security blanket for the offense that has been under fire by the Saints defense all day.

Look for the offense to find more clever ways to get this dynamic rookie in situations in the open field, screen plays and trick play using Ellington will help in the slowing down of the rush that already has sacked Palmer 4 times and hurried him 12, not to mention he has been hit 7 times.

The Cardinals have to stay patient and utilize their weapon on offense as this game goes on he will become a huge part of what the team needs to do to pull off the upset of the day. So far they have held the powerful Saints to 17 points and are still in the game, must get that running game cranking up and Andre Ellington will be the catalyst to doing so.
