I can’t say I’m too surprised at the move the Arizona Cardinals made today in releasing wide receiver Kerry Taylor but I am interested in finding out why he didn’t get more of a chance to play on Sunday’s.

Taylor, from Arizona State, was thought to have made the initial 53-man roster back at the beginning of September, he even tweeted as such, however did not make the final cut a day later.  Then after receiver Larry Fitzgerald injured his hamstring, an another receiver was needed.  He was re-signed and got his chance in week two against the Detroit Lions, grabbing three ball for 40 yards.  I thought, we all thought, he was on his way.

He was inactive each of the last three weeks however and never saw the playing field again.  Today, the Cards officially released him in favor of receiver Brittan Golden.  It is an interesting move to say the least.  With today being an off day for the players, there was no practice.  Hopefully we’ll get more of an explanation on Wednesday.

Maybe Taylor didn’t practice well but if that’s then case, well, we’re talking about practice man, practice.  I sure liked what I saw come game time.  Shouldn’t that be all that matters?
