The Arizona Cardinals take on the San Francisco 49’ers in San Francisco this afternoon.  Both teams are 3-2 and looking to take sole possession of second place or even possibly a tie for first place with the Seattle Seahawks depending on the outcome of their game this afternoon.  Many Cards fans and media believe this is a measuring stick game.  No one is really sure what to expect.  So, naturally it is time for three bold predictions for today’s game.

1. The Arizona Cardinals will score at least 7 points in the first quarter.  You say that isn’t bold?  Well, the Cards have only one touchdown in the first quarter this season, on their opening drive in New Orleans in week three.  Anything other than a field goal or shutout in the first quarter has to be a mild upset in San Francisco.

2. Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick will be picked off at least twice.  Yes, I expect the defense to play well.  However it is one thing to play well and another to actually get turnovers.  I truly believe the Cards will get to Kaepernick.

3. Cardinals will win the game.  I’ve been waffling back and forth on this.  I’ve been thinking all week that the Cards can keep it close but the road factor might play in and they will let one mistake snow ball on them.  That may still happen but I’m going to go out on a limb and say the Cards win 24-23.
