The Arizona Cardinals came out fighting a bit on offense early.  They actually got a couple of first downs before they punted back to the Seattle Seahawks.  However, quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seahawks went right down the field in 83 yards on their first drive, completed with a touchdown pass to Sidney Rice.  The Hawks currently lead 7-0 going to the second quarter.

It was very nice to see the Cards move the ball a bit in that first drive, however quarterback Carson Palmer took a very bad sack for a loss of 14 yards and the Cards ended up punting back to the Hawks.  It was disappointing to see the Cards defense come out flat and give up four plays of 10 yards or more in that first drive.

The bright spot so far for the Cards is third down conversions.  They are 3-4 on third down conversions.  However the turnover bug caught the Cards again.  Palmer slightly under threw receiver Larry Fitzgerald and Fitz couldn’t come up with it and the ball bounced into Seahawks safety Earl Thomas’ hands.

We need to see more of the Cardinals offense moving the ball and more defense in the second quarter to keep it a close game, otherwise this one might be getting away by halftime.  Seahawks are currently driving.
