Clearly one of the steals of the 2013 NFL Draft was made by the Arizona Cardinals.  Yes, they stole Tyrann Mathieu but they also got an offensive steal in running back Andre Ellington.  Ellington turned a lot of heads despite his size.  He had a 154-yard game against the Atlanta Falcons and was a top target in the passing game.  Now, are we getting ready for another Ellington?  The Cards are going to be working out Bruce Ellington, WR from South Carolina.

Ellington is the cousin of Andre.  The Cards may very well be looking for a wide receiver in the draft.  They signed Ted Ginn Jr and right now he seems to be the apparent number three but nothing is written in stone there.  Could it be someone like Ellington impresses the Cards brass enough to draft him and watch him blossom much like Andre did in 2013?  Maybe.

Bruce Ellington doesn’t have the size and ability to go grab a ball up out of nowhere like a Larry Fitzgerald or Michael Floyd but he does get very good separation off the line of scrimmage.  Like his cousin, he is also tough and works hard.  The production numbers may not have been what you’d expect at times but some of that I believe is a result of the style of play at South Carolina.  The Cards are scheduled to work out a number of players but this one most caught my eye and one of the ones I’m most excited to see what he can do.
