The Arizona Cardinals have done a good job in free agency and as the draft approaches they have set themselves up to have a very productive selection weekend May 8th -11th. The team does not have to draft for need any longer as they have brought in enough talent to cover those areas, and we all know the current acquisitions.

This year the draft is for want ,to help solidify the teams future for years to come if they draft for the best talent on the board at their time on the clock.

Round one the Cards can go in a few directions based on position and either way will not be making a bad decision, as the team could elect to go after a defensive end to rush the passer ,or they could simply stock pile wide receiver talent and get a speedster that can work the slot, outside or inside linebacker can easily be the way to go as well.

Either way General Manager Steve Keim and company can’t miss with this pick. Together with last years success and the current acquisitions the Cardinals look  to be right on the coat tails of the two top teams in the division, especially on defense.

The one position that this club has desperately needed sense the Kurt Warner era has been at starting quarterback, which now has become a luxury in the eyes of Head Coach Bruce Arians as he is pleased with the 10-6 finish last year under starter Carson Palmer.

Arians has not shown any urgency toward getting the future signal caller for the team in this draft, perhaps that player is not in this draft or could be in the later rounds three or four, who knows? but the luxury of having time to get the right guy has been calming after the quarterback disasters the last five years.

So Cardinals fans , either way it looks this team is headed in the right direction, and so with that being said, “with the 20th pick in the 2014 NFL draft the Arizona Cardinals select” ????? anyone they want.
