I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish each of our Birdgang readers a very Happy Independence Day!  Our Arizona Cardinals are just three weeks away from taking the field in Glendale for training camp!

What makes our country great is our freedoms.  We are free to like or dislike whatever professional sports teams we want.  We are free to write pretty much anything we want.  We all agree on things from time to time and disagree at other times.  That’s the beauty in getting to run a fan site like this.  I get to interact with all kinds of people.  It is today that I am reminded of the privileges we get being Americans.

I hope that each of you take the time to appreciate our freedom of speech and freedom to read and freedom to scan the internet as we please.  Not every country on this planet gets that opportunity.  Now, go out, have fun and be safe on this holiday and this holiday weekend.  I need all of you in prime debate shape once things get rolling here at the end of the month.  I look forward to training camp, the preseason and regular season games and hopefully a trip for our Cards to a Super Bowl in their own stadium.  Until then, enjoy your friends and family.
