As the Arizona Cardinals finish off the off-season in preparation for the start of training camp on July 25th in Glendale at University of Phoenix Stadium, we are going to take a look at the team roster from A to Z as it currently stands. Next up is tight end Rob Housler.
2013 season: The good news? Housler finally found the end zone after three seasons in the NFL. He had a game-high seven receptions at home against the Seattle Seahawks but the Hawks were basically allowing everything to him underneath. His lone touchdown came at home against the Houston Texans.
2014 season: The bad news? Housler’s days as an Arizona Cardinals tight end are probably numbered. He has been very inconsistent during his first three seasons in the desert. He will make a spectacular catch but then drop five easy ones. I think it will take nothing short of a spectacular camp and preseason and maybe a little luck to make it to the final roster this season with John Carlson and Jake Ballard in the fold. It’s put up or shut up time.
