Last night I discussed the guys I thought certainly lost out on their jobs with the Arizona Cardinals in their 30-28 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.  It wasn’t all doom and gloom though.  There are several players who appear have solidified spots on this team as well.

Jaron Brown – I think he has clearly won the fifth receiver spot on the Cards 53 man roster.  There is no way the Cards only keep four with as deep as the talent is with the eight guys they have there now.  Brown made two spectacular catches and then even better runs after the catch.

Darren Fells – The headline of basketball player turned football player has been a bit overused already this preseason but the Darren Fells story is quite compelling.  This is a guy who I didn’t even have on the radar as making this team as camp started and now I’m sorry I ever doubted him.  Fells made a great touchdown catch and continued to show his strength and great hands as a tight end.  As stated on last night’s television broadcast, now he just needs to work on blocking.  He can block, it’s just a matter of blocking the right guy.

Logan Thomas – He didn’t even play Saturday night but after watching quarterback Ryan Lindley take the field last night, it is clear after Thomas’s performance in last week’s win over the Houston Texans, he will win the third-string job.

Justin Renfrow – He had a beautiful sack.  It’s all in the small details.  Every play counts for a job this time of year.  Just as one play can break you, one can make you.  I believe Renfrow will make the team as a backup at defensive end.
