Well last hour we had some not so good news on Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett.  Now, some good news to share with everyone.  Safety Tyrann Mathieu, on the Physically Unable to Perform List due to his torn ACL and LCL in the game against the St. Louis Rams last December.

This is great news.  Cards head coach Bruce Arians said earlier in the day they expected him to come off the PUP list maybe sometime this week.  This week just became tomorrow.  It would seem this is a quicker recovery than expected.  Just as recently as June, the goal was to get Mathieu back on the field by October first.  ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the good news.

So while we wait on the news on Dockett, we can take this news and rejoice that Mathieu will start practicing ahead of schedule and appears he may not miss any of the regular season.  He was having a great 2013 campaign with 68 tackles and two interceptions and in the running for the NFL Rookie of the Year before being injured.
