What to watch for:

The Cards will be playing their starters for most if not all of the first half, however head coach Bruce Arians said they would not play any more than a half.  This will be the last time to see most of the starters with an extensive playing time until the home and season opener in two weeks against the San Diego Chargers.  On the offense, as far as veterans go, look for receiver Michael Floyd, who is seeing his first preseason action this year.  On the defense look at the front seven and see how they adjust to life without Darnell Dockett, who was lost for the season this week with a torn ACL. I will be interested in backups Frostee Rucker and Justin Renfrow.  It will be also interesting to see Ted Larsen move into the guard position due to the injury to Jonathan Cooper’s toe.

As for the Bengals, it is a return to the valley for former Arizona State linebacker Vontaze Burfict.  It was announced this week he had signed a four-year contract extension worth approximately $20 million, however the Bengals have yet to make the contract signing official, so it’s a wait and see situation there.
