Now we’ve made it through the first three weeks of the preseason, it’s cut time.  The Arizona Cardinals, as does the rest of the NFL, have to cut their roster to 75 players by 1pm on Tuesday afternoon.  After their 19-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday night though, it is becoming clearer who is meant for the final 53-man roster and who isn’t.

Here are my predictions for the first round of cuts for the Cards.

Johnathan Brown LB, JoJo Dickson ILB, Tommie Draheim C, Reggie Dunn WR, Andre Hardy TE, Orhian Johnson S, Ryan McBean DE, Kevin Ozier WR, Max Starks T, Eddie Whitley CB, Teddy Williams CB

Keep in mind there are just my opinion only.  Both sides of the ball will see reductions by Tuesday.  I’m sure there are a few guys the coaches want at least one more look at before making a final determination by 1pm Saturday, which is when the rosters must be reduced to the final 53 players.

There are some that could be included on this list, including one of the two kickers, which popular thought it Jay Feely, although Feely kicked the ball well on his kickoffs on Sunday night.  The other guy is quarterback Ryan Lindley.  I think the Cards will hold onto him a few more days just to push rookie Logan Thomas.  Tackle Bradley Sowell, running back Damien Thigpen, and guard Earl Watford are also guys who may see pink slips sooner rather than later.  We shall see.
