Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington could he out for awhile.  Yesterday he had limited practice due to an aggravation of a foot issue he has been having.  He was scheduled for an MRI on Friday but results may show he needs to miss an extended amount of time.

Ellington, it has been reported, may be out 4-6 or longer.  We will have to wait for the prognosis long term but for now it appears he will miss this Monday night’s opener against the San Diego Chargers.

This was a worry last year, Ellington’s durability.  It is being reported they had hoped rest of the foot would help him but then he further aggravated the foot during Thursday’s practice.  Of course many Cards fans wish him well and are disappointed but I’m finding more fantasy football owners are disappointed than anyone else.  That should be the least of anyone’s concern.

If it means he needs to rest several weeks, then let it be.  The long term health of the Cards is at stake here.  Better to take care of an issue now than to rush something that could get worse, back.
