The Arizona Cardinals still have doubters out there.  That’s not an Earth-shattering statement as we all know.  The Cards could win the Super Bowl and people would still pick them to lose that same game.  Its just a lack of respect and it’s all history based, not what’s going on now.

On NFL Network this morning on NFL AM, two guys picked the San Diego Chargers because of the Cards injuries.  Basically, they don’t trust who the Cards have in place of the injured or departed.  I disagree.  The biggest loss could be running back Andre Ellington.  As of right now, he is still a gametime decision.  Even if he doesn’t play, they have three able backs behind him.

Darnell Dockett is missing the season due to his torn ACL.  No worries.  He has the backup in Frostee Rucker who can get the job done.  They are missing Daryl Washington for the season.  No worries.  They have many able linebackers although some will question the depth there.

Yesterday on Fox NFL Sunday both Howie Long and Michael Strahan picked the Chargers.  That’s fine.  Just further proof that these guys aren’t in Arizona and completely have an understanding what Cards coach Bruce Arians has built and is still building here.  There is no panic.  There is no “same old Cards.”  Outsiders though still see it the other way.  In the end, yes the Cards could still lose.  It is always a 50/50 proposition no doubt.  But it is so easy for people to still just dismiss the Cards but the fact is they have a strong core of weapons that can make this team successful even with the losses already dealt.
