No Carson Palmer?  No problem!  The Arizona Cardinals looked like they didn’t miss a beat without their starting quarterback on the first drive of the game.  Drew Stanton took the team down the field on the first drive for a 7-0 lead.  They added a 49-yard field goal from Chandler Catanzaro to make it 10-0 at the end of the first quarter.

On the Giants first drive they were moving the ball pretty well until Eli Manning was intercepted by linebacker Sam Acho thanks to a pressure on Manning by cornerback Jerraud Powers.  Manning had been 4-4 for 43 yard up until that point.  It was Manning’s third interception of the season so far.

The Cards got the ball back and made a couple of nice plays on their second drive.  Running back Andre Ellington converted a run on third and 14 for a first down. Then on the next play running back Jonathan Dwyer ran free for 20 yards.

The story for the Giants though has been penalties on defense.  They have been killing themselves with untimely penalties.  They did have a roughing the passer call that was very questionable.  Crowd noise certainly played a factor.  We’ll see how their defense stands up the rest of the day.
