With running back Jonathan Dwyer placed on the reserve/non-football injury list by the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, they had a roster spot to replace.  They did just that.

The Cardinals re-signed Jalen Parmele who was cut by the Cards in the preseason.  He was amongst the final cuts on August 30th to get down to the 53-man roster limit.  With limited options, it makes the most sense to bring in someone who is familiar with what the team is doing and familiar with their playbook.  Parmele last played in the regular season with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012.

Also on Thursday, the Cardinals cut running back Chris Rainey from the practice squad as well.  Rainey has had previous trouble with domestic violence and many were surprised the Cards had given him a chance a couple of weeks ago.  The Cards replaced Rainey on the practice squad with former Indianapolis running back Kerwynn Williams.
