The ESPN NFL Power Rankings have put the Arizona Cardinals at number five this week.  That’s the lowest I’ve seen the Cards in any poll.  It should come as no surprise though because not many at the “Mother Ship” believe in the Cards.  Only three “experts” at ESPN picked the Cards to beat the San Francisco 49ers this past Sunday.

Power rankings are all just opinions but I always find it curious when ESPN seems to always have the Cards lower than they really should be no matter what their record is.  You could probably lend it to some east coast bias maybe.  The NFL.com though has the Cards at three.  That’s where Raising Zona has them placed this week as well and that is probably closer to the truth, for now.

ESPN still has the Seattle Seahawks at number one with a 2-1 record.  They have both their victories at home but they are against better teams in Denver Broncos and the Green Bay Packers.  They lost to the San Diego Chargers, who as you know, lost to the Arizona Cardinals in week one.

It’s all subjective, I get that.  It’s just interesting to see how far apart some are.  NFL.com put the Seahawks at number five, four spots lower than ESPN.  NFL.com has the Cincinnati Bengals at number one, as does Raising Zona.  ESPN has them at number two.
